Clinical Experiences of Cefazolin sodium ( Cefamezin )

Abstract
|
|
|
A total of 27 cases of clinical infections were treated with cefamezin in 1973 and t e results were as follows:
1. Three cases of typhiod fever, five cases of pneumonia, two cases of subacute bacterial endocarditis, five cases of urinary tract infection, two cases of beta-hemolytic streptococca1 pharyngitis and other miscellaneous infections were treated successfully without any difficulties.
2. Sensitivity of the bacteria isolated from clinical specimens of the patients durin the time of treatment to cefamezin 30μg disc was good in Gram positive bacteria generally bu response of Gram negative -bacteria was not so good with exception of Salmonella typhi
